Business Analyst required for a contract role in Hobart. The successful candidate will be required to develop data quality governance roles, responsibilities, and processes while in parallel driving uptake on selected data quality uplift initiatives.
Key responsibilities: Develop a standard data quality management approach, creating templates, documents and processes pertaining to the active management of data quality by the businessLead workshops and sessions assisting business stakeholders through the discovery of data under their custodyInterview business stakeholders to understand, document and prioritise the data quality rules describing data qualityAssess the feasibility and impact of data quality rules by scoping ad-hoc activities and performing data analysis, assessing the current condition of selected dataScope and document remediation activities for data quality as workshopped with business stakeholdersSkills Required Knowledge of data management and data quality standards, frameworks and approaches – such as DMBOK.Business analysis and design/documentation of processes, roles or responsibility matrix, etc.Strong business engagement skills and ability to prepare and lead discovery activities with operational teams (e.g. interviews, workshops)Business and risk-focused approach to data qualitySelf-sufficiency with data analysis tasks, including requesting data extracts, simple querying of databases, data profiling etc. using common tools such as Excel, Power Query, PowerBI (or comparable)Experience with SAP (advantageous)Experience designing and implementing a data governance or data quality model in a mid-size to large organisationHow to apply?
