About your team
Business Solutions and Technology (BS&T) is responsible for all software related business analysis, business solutions, software development, telephony, IT Services, Infrastructure and Cyber Security. We deliver business as usual activities and innovation driven initiatives that provide efficiencies to the broader organisation. The BS&T team supports project management, business contract fulfilment, staff development, productivity increases and enhanced customer service.
About your contribution
As a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for the analysis, design and specification of both new and existing IT systems to support the business. This role will provide expert advice and assistance to system users, investigate complex issues and determine business impact and recommend solutions.
To be successful in this role, our ideal candidate will:
Excellent presentation, verbal communication, workshop facilitation and writing skills.Proven experience in business analysis, human centered design and the ability to apply critical thinking to deconstruct problems.A strong ability to apply structure business analysis deliverables, tools and techniques such as high level and detailed requirements, map business process, user stories, use cases, conceptualise information and construct visual models.Proven experience in requirement gathering and development of acceptance criteria and functional specifications with the ability to apply knowledge of business systems and translate business needs into technical requirements.Demonstrated experience in the continuous improvement of business processes and procedures.For further information regarding this role please refer to the Position Description below or within Defence Housing Australia's online careers site .
Order of MeritAny merit pools established from this merit-based process will be valid for 18 months from the date of advertising. This merit pool may be used throughout this period to fill similar positions in the event positions become vacant.
