Business Analyst

The Business Analyst will support the design and delivery of solutions tailored to the heavy industrial sector, with a focus on contractor management, legislative compliance, and health and safety regulations. The role requires close collaboration with stakeholders to gather business requirements, design systems and associated information gathering forms, and ensure integration with existing platforms such as SAP. The successful candidate will have experience in heavy industrial sectors, with system technical solution requirements.
Key Responsibilities:Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with business units, contractors, and technical teams to gather detailed requirements, ensuring alignment with solution design, industry standards and compliance with legislative and safety requirements.Business Process Analysis: Analyse contractor management workflows, health and safety procedures, and legal compliance processes to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.Solution Design: Work with technical teams to design system integrations, including form design, contractor management systems, and process automation, ensuring compatibility with SAP and other existing systems.Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a bridge between business users and IT teams, facilitating clear communication and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.Form & Systems Design: Lead the design of forms and systems that streamline data collection, ensuring they meet both business and regulatory needs, with a focus on ease of use and accuracy.Technical Design Support: Collaborate with IT teams to develop technical design specifications for systems integration and ensure technical solutions align with the business requirements.Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure all systems and processes adhere to local and federal legislative requirements, especially in relation to contractor management, workplace safety, and health standards.Data Analysis & Reporting: Ensure that there is a clear lineage between requirements, application data models and reports that can be produced by the end solution.Project Implementation Support: Assist in the testing, implementation, and rollout of new systems, including user training and post-implementation support.Continuous Improvement: Monitor and assess systems post-implementation, providing recommendations for further process optimisation.Required Skills and Qualifications:Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or equivalent experience in related field.Experience:5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst within the heavy industrial sectors (e.g., mining, O&G, or energy)Proven experience with user centred design system implementations, health and safety compliance, and legislative requirementsExperience with SAP systems and integrations.Technical Skills:Proficiency in designing systems that integrate ERPs, LMS and Physical access management, contractor management information, and compliance workflows.Strong skills in process mapping, use case development, requirements elicitation and documentation, workshop facilitation, and systems technical specification.Familiarity with compliance management tools and software.Soft Skills:Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, particularly with non-technical and technical audiences.Attention to detail, particularly in ensuring compliance with legal and safety requirements.Ability to work collaboratively in fast-paced, high-stakes environments.Preferred Qualifications:Experience working in large mining or industrial projects, particularly in contractor management and compliance.Knowledge of legislative frameworks, particularly around health and safety in mining.Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA).Familiarity with Agile or Waterfall methodologies in project management.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):Accuracy and timeliness of business requirement documentation.Stakeholder satisfaction in contractor management solutions.Compliance with legislative requirements and health and safety standards.Successful delivery of forms, systems, and process improvements on time and within budget.#J-18808-Ljbffr
