Business Analyst

BLACKROC is currently seeking a Business Analyst to join a leader within their industry based in Toowong, Brisbane. This is a full-time, in-office position where you'll have the opportunity to bridge the gap between software development and the wider business in a dynamic and supportive environment.
As the Business Analyst, you will play a crucial role in collaborating closely with stakeholders from both the technology and business sectors. Your primary focus will be on ensuring smooth communication and effective project delivery.
Responsibilities: Collaborate with key business teams to understand, document, and manage business requirements throughout the project lifecycle.Facilitate workshops to extract and document business requirements, working closely with stakeholders and developers.Create clear, concise user stories and acceptance criteria.Assist in developing business cases, project plans, and testing strategies for implementation projects.Identify, mitigate, and resolve project issues, risks, and dependencies.Requirements: 5-10 years' experience in Business Analyst positionProficiency in Agile or Scrum methodologies, and requirements management software (e.g., Jira, Confluence).Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Experience working on complex projects with system integrations, change management, and data migration activities.Familiarity with BPMN notation for business process documentation.Ability to establish and nurture relationships with business managers, subject matter experts, and IT service providers.Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.Desirable: Knowledge of programming languages, software development methodologies, process automation & workflows, database design, technical solution design, or enterprise architecture.Please note that candidates need to be full time Brisbane based.
