About us The Portable Long Service Authority (the Authority) is an independent statutory body established to administer the Long Service Benefits Portability Act 2018. The Act, together with the Long Service Benefits Portability Regulations 2020 provide a Portable Long Service Benefits Scheme. The Authority plays an important role in allowing workers in the community services, contract cleaning and security industries to build up long service benefits based on time in their industry rather than with a single employer. About the role As a Business Analyst at the Portable Long Service Authority, you will play a crucial role in driving efficiency and effectiveness within our organisation. The Authority is undertaking a priority program of work implementing Business Process Management and reviewing our key process and procedures, the Business Analyst will be instrumental in embedding frameworks, documenting, change and review processes and applying Lean Six Sigma thinking, methodologies and support our processes to continue to be as efficient and effective as possible. Reporting to the Senior Business Analyst, you will lead efforts to design and optimise systems, gather, and analyse business requirements, and provide expert guidance to ensure our solutions meet the needs of the Authority. In this role, you will be responsible for facilitating requirements gathering and design workshops to explore and capture business, functional, and technical requirements, including exceptions and business rules. About you The successful applicant will offer extensive knowledge in CRM and reporting systems, backed by strong analytical and system management skills to interpret business needs and deliver clear, actionable solutions. You will have strong interpersonal skills to establish relationships and communicate complex technical information across varying skill levels, including stakeholders, suppliers, and colleagues. Proven experience and qualifications as a Business Analyst in a similar role is needed, and experience in Lean Six Sigma, Agile, TGOF is desirable.
