Business Analyst - SafeWork NSW, Transformation and Change Grade : Clerk Grade 7/8
Salary range: $106,025 $117,363 + superannuation and leave loading
Duration : Temporary, 12 months
Location : Parramatta, other locations considered with options to work from home 2 days a week

The Business Analyst will support a large-scale change program, working with a Transformation and Change team, as well as key stakeholders across SafeWork NSW, the Department of Customer Service (DCS), government agencies and representative groups to deliver a more modern, fit-for-purpose and responsive work health and safety regulator for NSW.
Reporting to Manager, Change and Reform within the Transformation and Change team in SafeWork NSW, this role will play a pivotal role in supporting staff across SafeWork NSW to implement and address key recommendations from the McDougall Independent Review, Audit Office Performance Audit, and other industry sources to ensure best practice WHS regulation in NSW.
Key accountabilities Identify, analyse and translate business processes, technical functions and a broad range of data from disparate datasets into meaningful insights to identify valuable opportunities to enhance business performance Investigate problems, analyse options and provide recommendations for new and existing services, new initiatives, strategies and products to improve compliance, effectiveness and to address risks Deliver targeted data driven insights into the underlying drivers of commercial outcomes to translate complex analysis into meaningful insights and develop appropriate recommendations to support decision making Manage and monitor relationships with, and between, stakeholders to engage with users to understand and analyse solutions to business problems, collate needs and research fit for purpose solutions Review and propose business improvements and contribute to the development, facilitation, coordination and communication of initiatives and strategies to ensure organisational consistency and adoption of best practice Build and maintain effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to gain/maintain specialist and business knowledge and to facilitate scoping and setting of business priorities To be successful in this role you will have: An ability to work autonomously, with great time management skills Experience in supporting the delivery of impactful outcomes and translating complex business requirements into easy-to-understand outputs, and A can-do attitude, with a drive to make meaningful change.
