The Allied Health team includes clinicians from Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Orthotics and Prosthetics, Speech Pathology, Social Work, Nutrition and Psychology (including Neuropsychology) and are supported by Allied Health Assistants. The Allied Health team works closely with the Nursing and Medical teams to provide a comprehensive and timely service to both in patients and out patients.The SPEAK Project:The SPEAK (SPecialist Education And Knowledge) Project was established following Alfred Health's receipt of an Information, Linkages and Capacity (ILC) Building Program grant managed by the Department of Social Services. The aim of the SPEAK Project is to build capability in the health workforce and improve processes to meet the healthcare needs of people with disability, particularly those with intellectual disability, communication disability/communication support needs and those who are autistic. Alfred Health is partnering with South West Healthcare to support the implementation of the project in a regional setting. A co-design methodology is being utilised to ensure the voice of consumers with lived experience of disability and their support people, are heard in the design, implementation and evaluation of the project.Position SummaryThe aim of the Business Analyst (Disability Data Systems) role is to develop a roadmap for improving how our data systems support clinicians to identify, plan and support people with disability who access the health service. As a member of the SPEAK Project Team, the incumbent will work with stakeholders from across Alfred Health and related third parties to define and document current state, future state opportunities, and software requirements in support of improving our disability data systems. They will also be experienced in the operational functions of hospitals, ideally have experience in project methodology and change management within health.
