About the Role This role offers a blend of collaboration and strategic insight, enabling team members to develop their financial acumen while contributing directly to key organizational goals.
It fosters relationship-building across departments, enhancing both personal and professional growth.
The role supports budgeting and forecasting processes, delivers strategic financial analysis, builds relationships within Finance and across the organization, assists with month-end financial and KPI reports, and collaborates with Finance team members.
Key Responsibilities Assist in coordinating and delivering annual operating and capital budgets, maintaining the budgeting system and data inputs.
Support month-end reporting, including general ledger entries and compilation of Finance and Executive Committee reports.
Prepare month-end journals for DH funding income and reconcile Income in Advance balances.
Develop financial models to support strategic business plans and track business initiatives.
Manage reporting structures in the MAGIQ system and ensure functionality.
Assist with costings, forecasting, ad-hoc financial projects, and participate in annual and internal audits.
Skills, Qualification & Experience Bachelor's degree in business; CPA/CA qualified or equivalent qualifications for CPA Australia or Chartered Accountants membership.
Experience in business management or management accounting, including budgets, forecasting, KPIs, and monthly reporting; public health sector experience is a plus.
Proven ability to manage complex tasks independently, meeting deadlines in resource-limited environments.
Understanding of Australian Accounting Standards and generally accepted accounting principles.
Strong team player, contributing positively to team dynamics and relationships.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to simplify financial concepts and provide timely, accurate information; advanced Excel and computer skills.
