How you will create an impact The Operations Support team provides support to both Australian and New Zealand business units, on local, regional and global initiatives in progressing continuous improvement in our operating model.
This is a critical role in driving continuous change throughout the organisation; helping us to achieve operational improvement.
Key accountabilities will include but are not limited to: You will assume responsibility for the analysis and design activities for key strategic initiatives related to regulatory compliance, target operating model process alignment, control improvements and customer service metrics reporting.
You will liaise extensively with internal and external business stakeholders, legal and compliance teams.
You will identify, design and document as-is and to-be business processes.
You will define and document business, functional and nonfunctional requirements.
You will have a good understanding of operational key risk indicators and mitigation strategies.
You will work with business and IT testing teams to define and document test plans and test cases.
You will work with the business support team in defining platform enhancement requirements.
You will ensure adherence to internal governance and compliance procedures, policies and guidelines.
You will also participate in operational audits, disaster recovery and business continuity exercises, when required.
What you'll need to succeed Demonstrated experience as a business analyst in either the General Insurance or Financial Services sector.
Demonstrable knowledge of electronic product distribution via intermediated channels in the Australian general insurance market.
Solid experience in process reengineering, developing end-to-end solutions, regulatory change initiatives and reporting frameworks.
Proven ability to work on multiple initiatives concurrently, delivering to plan and requirements.
Excellent change management skills, particularly business process improvement, change communication, solution design and impact analysis.
Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, with extensive documentation and technical writing experience.
Experience in both waterfall and agile methodologies.
Formal qualifications majoring in Business Analysis and/or project management.
Excellent stakeholder management skills.
Able to work collaboratively with a broad range of constituencies and diverse groups.
Solid relationship management skills.
Solid understanding of APIs and configuration-driven development concepts.
