The Business Analyst for API & Reporting is responsible for two critical parts of PEXA International products:
Working with International POs to flush out API designs & advocate the API first approach for internal & external APIs.
Work with International POs to understand the property transaction workflows & how reporting can help to provide the data to the customer in a meaningful manner.
Working within PEXA International's Australian and UK Product teams, this role will work closely and collaborate with the Product Owners and technology stakeholders to understand the current state of the APIs & how integration with mortgage origination platforms will work with APIs for PEXA's International platform with the initial focus on the UK market.

This person will be the key liaison between our customers, internal business, and technology teams and will be responsible for ensuring that the product solution and requirements are understood, documented and meet stakeholder acceptance criteria.

Bringing experience in API-based solutions and design as well as knowledge of delivering better Developer experience, with first-class Business Analysis and proven stakeholder engagement skills.

Key Accountabilities
Requirements gathering and elicitation - working closely with the technology teams and relevant SMEs to deliver end to end user stories with clearly defined API standardization requirements to drive development of APIs within the core product solution.
Definition and playback of Current State As Is and To Be processes for Integration partners.
Participate in customer / external technical stakeholders during the development of new APIs including scoping requirements, and participation in clarification workshops.
Running and co-facilitating workshops with internal and external customers/partners, pulling together the right people and tools to generate the best outcomes.
Documenting end to end process flows and user journeys (as-is/ to-be) via swim lane / customer journey mapping.
Assist with prioritization of requirements based on customer value and feasibility outcomes.
Ensure data and reporting impacts are fully understood and defined in the solution.
Collaborate with business analysts across other streams to ensure the overall product solution is considered for the platform including where end to end processes touch multiple components of the solution.
Deliver showcases to communicate concepts to the wider project team and organization.
Knowledge and Skills
4+ years' experience working on large scale API products, developer experiences, and / or data products, preferably in a regulated industry like financial services.
Understanding of the API First approach.
Experience in drafting and interpreting XML/JSON, and with APIs.
Experience in creating detailed SQL queries (preferred).
Understanding the developer experience when integrating with API products.
Skilled in using Microsoft Office suite, as well as collaboration tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Miro etc.
Demonstrated understanding of the software delivery lifecycle, with experience managing deployments via third parties, as well as Agile Software Development practices in distributed (preferably global) teams.
Demonstrated ability of breaking down requirements into user stories.
Experience working with a product development team including working closely with end customers.
Experience working on multi-jurisdictional product development would be highly regarded.
Demonstrable experience collaborating with geographically dispersed teams.
Proven experience of working with Data products to maximize the reporting capability.
