We need a smart Business Analyst with excellent stakeholder engagement and analysis skills, with excellent .NET software product development experience to join our in-house development team dedicated to delivering our digital hospital roadmap.

Job location Our Corporate Office is located at Thomas Embling Hospital, just 15 minutes north of the city. Due to our announced expansion across all Directorates, we have a need for experienced, like-minded professionals to join our team to support our growing services. Our Directorates include Thomas Embling Hospital, Prison Operations and our Community Directorate, with highly skilled disciplines including Nursing, Lived Experience, Occupational Therapy, Psychiatry, Psychology and Social Work. About the Role: The objective of the Business Analyst and Software Engineer role is to support successful delivery of IT development efforts with the major emphasis being to work with the IT and Health Information teams in the continued successful improvement and delivery of the PMI, our electronic medical record. The role will use state of the art development tools to accelerate the move of Forensicare to a Digital Hospital environment.
Duties: Participate and/or lead discovery sessions with key stakeholders for new or updated functionality to PMI and other IT systems.
Analyse business processes to map workflows, define requirements and design solutions in line with required development priorities.Develop digital forms for integration within the PMI following Health Information requirements, guidelines and priorities.In conjunction with Health Information, provide day to day fulfillment of data/change requests and transform those into standardised reports within the PMI where possible.Create and maintain end-user and technical documentation to support the ongoing use of the PMI.Design, continually improve and document the underlying SQL Server database.Maintain confidentiality of patient information at all times.Participate in and contribute to relevant departmental efforts at focussing on improving service support and delivery.Demonstrate excellent communications skills.Accurately log, action and escalate incidents to resolve technical problems.Maintain excellence in attitude and performance towards Client service and meeting Service Levels/Key Performance Targets.Ensure progress on all PMI developments is recorded and clearly communicated to the Senior Software Engineer.About You: Ability to engage with key stakeholders and provide sound business analysis/recommendations.Relevant tertiary qualification or substantial industry experience.Microsoft Certifications (desirable).Demonstrated ability to work with Microsoft Visual Studio.Demonstrated ability to program in ASP.Net.Demonstrated ability to build web-based applications running on IIS.Demonstrated ability to work with and develop in Microsoft SQL Server.Highly developed technical and problem-solving skills.Effective communication skills with a client service focus.Demonstrated initiative.Ability to work as part of a team, with good organisation and time management skills.What you need: Relevant qualifications in IT with business analysis or project management certification or equivalent work experience would be highly regarded.Proficiency with Office 365 including Microsoft Project, Visio, SharePoint and Teams.A culture where people matter.
