My client is an independently owned and managed firm with offices in QLD and NSW.
They service clients nationally and offer services across audit and assurance, business, tax, accounting, corporate finance, transfer pricing, and consulting services for every business.
The firm has a diverse portfolio of clients, including high net wealth individuals, ASX listed companies, and not-for-profit entities.
The Role As a manager in the Business Advisory Services Team, you will work with the Principals and the broader team to service the firm's clients across their advisory and compliance offering.
The clients you will work with include ASX listed companies, high net worth individuals and family groups, privately owned businesses, and not-for-profits.
The type of work that this team undertakes includes (but is not limited to):
Tax planning, research, and advice for individuals, Trusts, SMSF, SMEsPreparing financial statements, income tax returns, and general-purpose reportsGeneral tax administration tasks, including GST, PAYG, BAS, and IAS preparationConduct first review of accounting and business services assignmentsClient management and onboarding of new clientsDelegation of work to junior team members and ensuring all deadlines and budgets are tracked and complied withSupervising and mentoring junior accountants and ensuring high-quality work and ongoing training and developmentWork with senior members of the team, including the Principals, to track and implement KPIs for the team.
About You You will be a collaborative team player and deliver a range of taxation, financial, and business advisory services.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Manager (with a minimum of 2+ years management experience in a comparable field) with a solid background in business services, looking to take their career to the next level.
The ideal candidate: Degree-qualifiedObtained CA or CPA qualificationExperience working with larger client groups, including consolidated group structuresExperience with most aspects of accounting and tax compliance, including preparation of financial statements, tax reconciliations, income tax returns, and tax effect accounting for companies, trusts, and tax consolidated groupsAbility to use, navigate, and troubleshoot common client accounting software packages (i.e., MYOB and Xero), and larger enterprise products (an advantage)Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, including mentoring and developing team members while managing your individual workloadOutstanding attention to detail and time managementAbility to work well under pressure and manage competing prioritiesThe ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in public practice and will enjoy providing high-level service, expert advice, and support to a range of client groups, including individuals, partnerships, trusts, and companies.
