Apprenticeship Careers Australia has a position open for a February 2025 commencement at a small friendly accounting firm in Wollongong that is looking for a trainee to commence a Business Administration/Reception Trainee.
The successful candidate will be working at the reception meeting and greeting clients, being the first point of contact for customer phone inquires etc.
The individual will be taught processes and hands-on experience in a supportive environment where your growth and success are our priority!
This position is part-time, Tuesday to Friday, 8-hours a day and be allocated 3-hours paid study time to work toward completing your Certificate III in Business.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING As a trainee, you'll play a crucial role in our daily operations while learning a variety of skills, including: Administration: Handle data entry, file management, and bank reconciliations.
Front Desk/Reception Duties: Greet clients in person, answer phone calls, and manage email inquiries with a professional and welcoming demeanor.
Customer Service: Provide outstanding service to our clients, addressing their needs efficiently and with care.
Mail and Supplies Management: Distribute mail, maintain office supplies, and ensure the office operates smoothly.
Office Maintenance: Help maintain a clean, organised, and functional workspace.
Assist the accountants in the daily operations and completion of business documents.
SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES WE ARE LOOKING FOR Attention to Detail: Accuracy is key in every task, from data entry to bank reconciliations.
Professionalism: Represent the company with a positive attitude, polished communication and professional presentation.
Literacy and Numeracy Skills: Have a solid foundation in reading, writing, and basic math.
Communication Skills: Confidently interact with clients via phone, email, and face-to-face conversations.
Carry out workload all whilst working together with your intimate team.
Customer Service: A passion for delivering exceptional experiences to every client and have a positive attitude.
Independence: The ability to manage your workload, use initiative and complete tasks with minimal supervision after being trained.
This is a small team, so ability to work independently is important.
TRAINEESHIP INFORMATION During this traineeship duration you will be working part-time ( roughly 30 hours per week.
With potential to increase to full-time) , Tuesday to Friday.
Within the working week, you will be allocated 3-hours paid study time to work toward completing your Certificate III in Business .
Please note, the successful candidate will be trained and mentored in all areas of work, both within the job role and study.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS Proficiency in Microsoft Suite Programs is essential Be willing to increase work from part-time to full-time Be able to work independently Must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or New Zealand Citizen.
Must have Drivers Licence and own vehicle Must not have any previous qualifications exceeding a Certificate III in Business.
