Bush Regenerator - Talent Pool City of Gold Coast will recruit to this role in consideration of the availability of candidates. Short-term, full time and casual arrangements may be possible. We are establishing a talent pool of Bush Regenerators to assist with both short-term and long-term vacancies within the Natural Areas Management Unit. These positions operate out of our Merrimac office/depot and work across the City's Natural Area estate . Under the guidance of the Senior Bush Regenerator the incumbent will be responsible for the implementation of ecological restoration programs, including weed control and revegetation programs. Your new role: (please see attached position brief for further information) Provide on-ground and technical support to the Senior Bush Regenerator and Unit and contribute to developing appropriate ecological restoration solutions. Help formulate ecological restoration solutions that consider ecological succession, the role of fire and the inherent resilience of native vegetation. Adhere to and implement State and Federal legislative requirements and procedures/practices, particularly with respect to workplace safety and working with chemicals. Comply with relevant operational procedures and systems. Assist with the capture and recording of information to assist with approved monitoring plans. Develop/establish excellent working relationship with contractors, Council service providers, community, and other key stakeholders. Provide support to natural areas management programs including Councillor and Community requests, daily record sheets, drafting of reports and attending site meetings.
