As a Bush Regenerator Trainee, you will play a vital role in the preservation and restoration of natural habitats in the Sydney western & northern areas. You will work alongside experienced bush regenerators, learning essential skills and techniques for the sustainable management of bushland environments. In this role, you must be willing to travel to the western suburbs & also the northern suburb areas. Having your own vehicle is a must.
Key Responsibilities: Bush Regeneration: Undertake tasks related to bush regeneration activities such as weed control, revegetation, and erosion control under the guidance of experienced team members.Weed Identification and Management: Learn to identify native and invasive weed species and apply appropriate control methods, including herbicide application.Revegetation: Assist in the planting of native vegetation to restore degraded areas and enhance biodiversity.Erosion Control: Participate in erosion control activities to prevent soil degradation and preserve the integrity of natural landscapes.Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including the proper use and maintenance of personal protective equipment (PPE).
