About the Opportunities We're looking for a dedicated HSE Business Partner to join our team at our Tullamarine / Broadmeadows depots. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with Zinfra operational teams to support and guide them in creating safe, healthy, and supportive workplaces aligned with our HSE strategy.
You'll partner with committed internal clients, acting as their trusted point of contact to implement company policies, programs, and initiatives, all aimed at fostering continuous improvement in health, safety, and visible leadership in safety practices.
Key Responsibilities Include: Cultivate a positive workplace HSE culture, encouraging proactive safety behaviors and a sense of ownership, awareness, and accountability within the team. Support and coordinate various HSE projects, programs, and initiatives to drive positive change in assigned business areas. Provide professional advice, coaching, and guidance to management and team members on all HSE policies and processes, ensuring a high level of support. Assist with interpreting HSE legislation and partnering with the business to understand and meet safety regulatory requirements. Coach leaders to promote a safety-focused and resilient culture throughout the organization. About You You bring a collaborative and empathetic approach, along with the ability to navigate challenging situations with professionalism and tact. Your excellent communication and organizational skills support a cohesive team environment, and your proactive problem-solving helps maintain the highest safety standards.
Experience in the electrical industry or a background in civil works on blue-collar sites would be beneficial for effectively managing complex customer needs, ensuring safety compliance, and building positive relationships.
Additionally, You Bring: Proven experience in large, high-risk industrial settings, ideally in utilities, services, or infrastructure. Expertise in implementing HSE systems and assurance programs with a people-focused approach to coaching and empowering teams. Ability to connect with and influence stakeholders to build a mature safety culture. Tertiary or Diploma-level qualifications in Health & Safety, Training, or a related area (preferred). Knowledge of Australian HSE legislation, including a supportive approach to incident investigations and root cause analysis. Strong skills in risk management, with familiarity in AS4801. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for clear, concise HSE reporting. Leadership in incident investigation, with a thoughtful approach to root cause analysis.
