The Principal Consultant will "bridge the gap" between the business and technical teams by solving complex Workday intersystem problems. They will guide clients through the transformation, implementation, and operation phases of a Workday implementation.
Responsibilities: Reinforces company policies and procedures to others. Helps others by driving, organizing, and assigning tasks within a project workstream to achieve project goals. Guides the client through facilitated design sessions and configuration decisions based on best practices and an understanding of the client's unique business requirements at all stages of the project. Regularly engages and supports the client through all phases of the project, ensuring a smooth transfer from legacy systems to the Workday HCM solution. Performs multiple tasks under limited direction, while keeping the client, project team, and Engagement Manager informed of changes or progress related to the project. Willingness to take a leadership position on a project, or as a Cognizant or Workday product Partner Lead and/or Delivery Assurance Reviewer. Displays hands-on expertise of the software, including iLoading client data, moving configuration from tenant to tenant, and configuring business processes and security. Utilizes technical aptitude to convert and map data sources into data conversion templates via iLoads. Acts as a mentor to fellow consultants and analysts, providing support for shadow assignments. Actively participates in update training and internal opportunities to share skills and learnings with others within the organization. Additional duties as assigned by manager. Skills & Requirements: Ideally 3-5 years of consulting experience. Workday Integration, Workday Studio TM, and Workday CCTPP TM certification preferred. Project experience in a technical or techno-functional role on one or more ERP implementation projects using SOA tools (SAP NetWeaver, Oracle Fusion, Workday Studio, or other middleware platforms). Demonstrated proficiency with web service technologies (REST, JSON, SOAP, HTTP, SSL, PGP, SAML, etc.). B.A. / B.S. in Management Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or other engineering disciplines preferred. Exceptional written and verbal communication capabilities; able to communicate effectively with diverse individuals at various levels within the organization. Superior detail orientation, organization, and analytical skills. Outstanding Excel skills. Thrive on simultaneously operating at multiple levels and managing multiple responsibilities.
