Buscojobs | Vineyard Manager

Details of the offer

Winery & Viticulture (Farming, Animals & Conservation)
Full time Southern Premium Vineyards (SPV) owns and operates wine grape vineyards in Australia's finest and most productive wine grape regions including the Barossa Valley, Clare and Limestone Coast regions of South Australia and the Riverina in New South Wales. Established in 2021, SPV offers wine producers a grape supply solution for their wine grape sourcing as an alternative to owning or leasing vineyards.
WHY SPV IS A GREAT PLACE TO WORK: We are passionate about what we do, we take growing grapes seriously, and we know none of this happens without great people.
Our MISSION: To be the Premier supply chain partner delivering grape supply and management solutions to the global wine industry.
Our PURPOSE: In a safe and sustainable manner, grow with our partners and clients, enhance the lives of our people, generate positive returns, and contribute to our local communities.
WHY THIS JOB IS GREAT: Working in agriculture, viticulture, and the great outdoors offers an exciting and rewarding career unlike any other. No day is the same, the weather alone will make sure of that! There will be challenges and opportunities, you will work with great people, an extensive fleet of assets, supporting best practice crop cultivation and contributing to sustainable practices. Your hard work will 'bear fruit' before your eyes - literally!
ABOUT THE JOB: Reporting to the General Manager South Australia, you will establish and maintain vineyard management programs and be an integral member of the Vineyard Management Team. You will be responsible for ensuring vineyard management plans and budgets are achieved, effectively manage the vineyard operations team, and ensure optimum health, safety, and productivity.
ABOUT YOU: You are a team player who is collaborative and not above getting your hands dirty. You pride yourself on your ability to get the best out of people by creating a supportive and kind work environment, and you embrace diversity. You are someone who is forward-thinking with a strong work ethic and great time management. You are operationally savvy and organised. You may be experienced, or you may be looking for the next step in your career.
You may have relevant qualifications or experience in Agronomy, Viticulture, Business, Agriculture, or Horticulture, but we are good teachers too, so we are keen to hear from anyone who may consider their skills to be transferrable to our industry. You are systems savvy, can write a report, and analyse numbers; mostly, you are exceptional at building effective working relationships at all levels of an organisation.
We offer a competitive salary package including a tool of trade motor vehicle and may provide some relocation and housing assistance for the right candidate.
If this sounds interesting, we would love to talk to you, either apply or send an email to us.
