About the role This is an exciting opportunity to lead the Nursing training program at TrEd College in North Sydney, NSW. As the Head of Nursing - Diploma of Nursing (Training), you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of the Diploma of Nursing program, ensuring students receive a high-quality vocational education that prepares them for successful careers in the nursing field. This full-time role is integral to the growth and success of TrEd College's Nursing training offerings.
What you'll be doing Lead the design, development and continuous improvement of the Diploma of Nursing curriculum and training materials. Manage and mentor a team of experienced nursing instructors to deliver engaging, practical and industry-relevant training. Oversee the clinical placements program, fostering strong relationships with healthcare partners to provide students with valuable hands-on experience. Monitor student progress and provide support to ensure high completion and employment rates. Represent the Nursing program within the college and liaise with industry stakeholders to ensure alignment with evolving sector needs. Contribute to the overall strategic direction of TrEd College's vocational education offerings. What we're looking for Registered Nurse qualification with extensive clinical experience in the nursing profession. Proven track record in managing and leading vocational education programs, particularly in the Enrolled Nursing. Strong understanding of the Nursing industry and the skills and knowledge required for successful nursing careers. Excellent teaching, mentoring and people management skills to lead a team of dedicated nursing instructors. Ability to foster collaborative partnerships with industry and healthcare providers. Experience in developing, managing, and continuously improving the education content and curriculum. Ensure compliance, including preparation for, and attending registration and compliance audits with the various regulatory bodies including NMBA, ANMAC and ASQA. Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective workplace relationships with relevant stakeholders and team members in a teaching environment. Deliver teaching and learning programs and provide educational leadership through support to other educators and demonstration of 'good practice'. Experience in nurturing, and supporting internal staff and students. Extensive knowledge of the current Enrolled Nursing curriculum (HLT54115).
