Role Overview Our defence client is seeking 2 Technical Writers to support the enhancement and replacement of existing cybersecurity documentation and technical materials. This is a critical role in ensuring the organisation's cybersecurity frameworks, policies, and procedures are up-to-date, accurate, and aligned with industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities Review, update, and replace current cybersecurity documentation and technical manuals. Collaborate with technical and cybersecurity teams to gather and validate information. Develop and maintain clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation, including policies, procedures, and technical guides. Ensure all documentation aligns with organisational standards and cybersecurity frameworks. Support the development of governance and compliance documentation. Essential Skills & Experience Proven experience in technical writing, particularly in a cybersecurity or defence environment. Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, frameworks, and technical processes. Ability to work with technical stakeholders to translate complex information into clear documentation. Excellent written communication and attention to detail. Desirable Skills & Experience Familiarity with Australian Government cybersecurity frameworks (ISM, Essential 8). Experience with technical writing in a defence environment. Knowledge of system administration and IT infrastructure processes.
