Medical Oncology Lead / Medical Oncology Clinical Director Full time or Part time: 0.4FTE Lead, with an option of up to 0.6FTE clinical Attractive salary package over $400k+AUD This is a unique opportunity to lead a large regional service (collectively the size of a tertiary service) while being based centrally in one of Australia's most picturesque capital cities. We offer an exciting opportunity in a leading Regional Cancer Service unit for a dynamic medical oncologist to provide transformational and innovative leadership, governance and direction across the broader team. Supporting six outpatient clinics which service 15 chemotherapy units across regional and remote communities through a dedicated central virtual model.
This service has led the way in replicating expected quality initiatives found in major metropolitan cancer centres for regional patients, and are in the process of establishing a clinical trials unit with a focus on bringing appropriate trials closer to home for patients living in regional and rural areas.
This role will play a key role in furthering these initiatives, and work as an integral member of the leadership team to help deliver high-quality oncology services, provide guidance and expertise to the team with a focus on continuous improvement, and contribute to the state's overarching strategic direction.
The Medical Oncology lead will make up a 0.4FTE, with the option to accept additional clinical FTE, with some telehealth by negotiation. In your clinical role, you will provide effective teaching programs across relevant hospitals, ensuring the provision of high standard clinical services to patients and providing support and guidance to the regional nursing and pharmacy teams.
To be considered for this opportunity you must have obtained: A Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent Completion of an internationally accredited Medical Oncology specialist training program and subsequent registration as a specialist Medical Oncologist Minimum three years post Fellowship / Board Certification experience Demonstrated participation in continuing professional development and an appetite for innovation and service design #J-18808-Ljbffr
