This position is a temporary full-time role with the possibility of extension at the discretion of SESLHD.
St George Hospital is recruiting for a Post Graduate Fellow to enhance the current Interventional Radiology department. The position reports to the Clinical Lead of Interventional Radiology. The successful candidate will coordinate the holistic management of patients, serve as an effective inter-departmental liaison, and gain extensive experience in a variety of Image Guided Interventions.
Key Responsibilities: Provide expert medical assessment and management of patients within the department/service. Participate actively in MDTs (Peritonectomy, HCC, Urology, Trauma, Vascular). Engage in quality improvement activities relevant to the specialty. Demonstrate commitment to teaching both undergraduate and post-graduate students and other staff. Work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary health care team. Conduct research relevant to the role and needs of the Department. Minimum Requirements: Registration or eligible for registration with Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA). Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists or equivalent recognition. Evidence of continuing medical education and self-monitoring/audit practices. Proven capacity and/or experience in providing high-quality service in the specialty. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues. Demonstrated experience in research relevant to the role. This is a Category A position. All Category A applicants must read and understand NSW Health Policy PD2023_022.
