Working within a team of professional Early Childhood Educators, you will be responsible for assisting in the delivery of a high-quality education program that supports the growth, safety, participation, wellbeing, and empowerment of children in a mixed age range of 2.5-5 years. As Manager, you will be responsible for a team of professional Early Childhood Educators, delivering a high-quality education program that supports the growth, safety, participation, wellbeing, and empowerment of children in a mixed age range of 2.5-5 years.
Small Friends Playschool has an extraordinary team looking for a new member to bring their own flair, passion, and love for Early Childhood. You need to be willing to learn and understand our philosophy.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
Working in collaboration with the team to plan and implement play-based programs. Documenting children's learning, development, interests, and abilities, including setting individual and group goals. Initiating and promoting warm and intentional interactions with children and their families. Developing and delivering curriculums in partnership with our ECT, developing routines, QIP, and indoor and outdoor environments within the learning program. Working with others to ensure that Small Friends Playschool meets and exceeds the considerations of the National Quality Standard. Qualifications, Skills & Experience
Proven ability to lead and mentor staff. Able to exceed compliance requirements. Diploma of Children's Services minimum or higher. Relevant experience in working in children's services. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with other early childhood educators. Good working knowledge of the NQS, experience in preparing for A&R, and a passion for providing outstanding experiences for the children in accordance with the EYLF. Strong time management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize. A willingness to be a part of the bigger picture. A readiness to go above and beyond for the children and families. A passion to make a difference in every child's learning journey. Hold a current and valid, or willingness to obtain: Working with Children's Check, National Police Check, First Aid certification (that includes Anaphylaxis Management and Emergency Asthma Management), and current CPR.
