The Opportunity
Greenfield Technical Services is seeking a professional, hard-working, dedicated, and enthusiastic Site Inspector to join our team. We have a solid pipeline of work, and the role will be based at our various job sites around regional WA. Depending on the location, the job will be either drive-in drive-out or fly-in fly-out.
Key Responsibilities
As a Site Inspector, you will be responsible for providing quality and technical monitoring and surveillance of road construction, upgrade, maintenance, and repair works for projects across regional Western Australia. Key responsibilities may include but will not be limited to:
Undertaking preliminary technical assessments of potential road and civil works projects Monitoring the progress of road construction works against technical codes and standards Preparing and reviewing daily worksheets Completing site audits of in-progress and completed work Monitoring road construction work crew productivity and work methods against industry standards Cost and schedule tracking Reporting to the Project Team with regular reports, and construction reports and providing technical input to stakeholders of the project About you:
To be considered for the position, you must have:
Valid working rights in Australia Current and valid Australian Drivers Licence Civil construction, plant, and machinery knowledge A keen interest in regional road construction works Willingness and flexibility to travel widely generally via road within Western Australia to deliver a wide range of road construction and maintenance projects. Company vehicles are provided for company travel The ability to work unsupervised and independently in rural and remote locations Effective communication and interpersonal skills - oral and written Trustworthy with strong communication skills via telephone and email Computer literacy in the use of Microsoft suite applications Highly organised with proven time management skills to effectively deliver multiple priorities Ability to work effectively as part of a team with minimum supervision coupled with a passion for customer service Good analytical skills with an eye for quality and high attention to detail Desirable:
Experience with road construction and/or maintenance works Previous experience as a Quality Assurance Inspector / Site Supervisor / Site Inspector Previous QA/QC experience We are keen to speak with individuals who are reliable, organised, and loyal with strong communication skills and an ability to operate well with a diverse range of stakeholders in challenging environments.
