We are seeking an experienced Service Design Lead for an initial contract until June 30th 2025, with extension options.
About the project:
The January-June 2025 period represents the initiation phase of an innovation journey, laying the groundwork for a more comprehensive innovation program.
Over six months, the Service Design Lead will establish and implement a structured innovation capability through four strategic objectives:
Implement a standardised innovation methodology Set up an innovation team to manage the development and implementation of the innovation strategy Set up clear innovation collaboration mechanisms for internal and external stakeholders Pilot the exploration of challenge missions Key milestones for this period include:
Two innovation events A digital hub for sharing innovation knowledge Progress on three challenge missions (2 for sectors, 1 for the department) You Will:
Design and maintain the end-to-end innovation methodology Create and manage service blueprints for innovation processes Run the program management function Develop templates and tools for innovation activities Ensure integration with existing SDLC and policy processes Manage documentation and knowledge management Track project progress and maintain innovation metrics dashboard Coordinate resourcing across innovation projects You MUST be an Australian Citizen to be considered for this position.
