About the Department for Correctional Services
The Department employs approximately 2,000 staff and has responsibility for nine prisons and fifteen Community Correctional offices across the state. Duties
The position of Senior Sentence Administration Officer, Sentence Management Unit (SMU) reports to the Team Leader Sentence Administration (SMU) by contributing to the effective delivery of a high level of business administration support within the SMU. This position has responsibility for processing warrants and maintaining documentation relating to prisoner remand and sentencing, movements, court appearances, and non-parole periods and provides assistance in a range of business functions such as financial, human resources, physical resources management, and work health and safety.
Special Conditions
Section 47 of the Public Sector Act 2009 applies in conjunction with other provisions of the act and other applicable industrial entitlements. The incumbent is required to satisfactorily complete a National Criminal History Check. A current South Australian Driver's Licence is essential. A flexible approach to working hours is required including participating in an extended hours service delivery up until 7 pm Monday to Friday. Some interstate and intrastate travel will be required which may necessitate overnight absences. Requirements
