Media Strategy, Planning & Buying (Advertising, Arts & Media)
The Office of the Leader of the Opposition is seeking an experienced, highly motivated, and dynamic adviser to join our team.
This role is critical in shaping and delivering the Opposition's agenda, engaging with media, and ensuring effective communication with the public.

This position offers a unique opportunity to influence policy, engage with media and stakeholders, and directly support the South Australian community.

Who We're Looking For
Successful candidates will bring relevant experience — whether in policy and media; experience working with parliamentary offices is a plus.

Role & Responsibilities:
Develop and implement media strategies to promote the Opposition's agenda, respond to media inquiries, and manage media relationships.
Monitor media, brief Members of Parliament and staff, and develop proactive media strategies.
Write media releases, speeches, and statements, and prepare the Leader for interviews and public appearances.
Oversee digital media strategy and communications.
Minimum Requirements:
Significant experience in media relations, political communication, and policy development.
Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with competing deadlines.
Strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to tailor content for various audiences.
In-depth understanding of South Australian politics, current affairs, and government structures.
Demonstrated ability to provide strategic advice to senior political leaders.
High level of political acumen, discretion, and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
Expertise in social media and digital communication strategies.
An established network of media contacts within South Australia.
