Senior Manager - Accounting Policy and Advice
You will own and drive the accounting policy frameworks across the organisation, and be exposed to unique
transactions
across a variety of sectors from financial services to mining and resources, infrastructure, energy, and technology. You will have a deep technical accounting background with an ability to deliver commercial outcomes for complex transactions.
Responsibilities:
Delivery of technical accounting solutions for complex transactions
Maintenance and enhancement of internal accounting policies
Business partnering with front office deal teams, and internal finance teams, as well as treasury and tax
Continual development of internal and external stakeholder relationships influencing optimal accounting treatment outcomes
Ad hoc accounting analysis and reporting
Experience:
CA / CPA qualified or equivalent
Deep understanding of accounting standards (IFRS / AASB), especially business combinations, financial instruments, revenue recognition, joint ventures, and more
Exposure to various asset and transaction types across financial services, resources, energy, technology, infrastructure, and more
Ability to apply commercial solutions to complex transactions from a technical accounting perspective
Excellent attention to detail
Strong communicator, both written and verbal, and an ability to tailor a complex message to the specific audience
