About the Roles
adaptbl is seeking experienced lawyers specializing in administrative law and/or statutory interpretation for positions with a Commonwealth Government client. A background or interest in ICT law is highly desirable.
Where:
Ideally, you'll be based in Canberra. Other locations may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Key Responsibilities
Provide expert advice on a broad range of administrative law and statutory interpretation issues, including privacy matters.
Your advice will often relate to communications and information technology, including in the context of large-scale projects.
Utilize high-level judgment and critical thinking to analyze issues and develop solutions for the agency.
Communicate legal issues, results, and implications effectively to stakeholders.
Stay current with legal developments and policy changes affecting the agency.
Required Skills and Experience
Extensive expertise in administrative law and/or statutory interpretation.
4 - 20+ years of post-admission experience (PAE).
Proven ability to deliver high-quality legal services efficiently.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Effective stakeholder management skills.
Tertiary qualifications in law and admission as a legal practitioner in the High Court or a Supreme Court of a State or Territory.
Secondment length:
Initial 6-month contract/labour hire arrangements, with the potential for additional 6-month extensions.
Eligibility:
Only Australian citizens with an existing Baseline (or above) security clearance can be considered for these roles.
