Location: Option to be based in Darwin or East Arnhem
Why Miwatj Health Corporation? Miwatj Health Aboriginal Corporation (MHAC) is a not-for-profit organisation that provides clinical services, acute and long-term care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people across East Arnhem Land. MHAC also focuses on education and primary preventive care programs to address risk factors to Aboriginal health in the region.
This is a new and exciting role delivering podiatry services to clients eligible under the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) across East Arnhem Land.
What's in it for you? Salary range $100,326 – $104,379 Full-time, Fixed Term until 30 June 2025 Salary packaging Allowances Option to be based in Darwin or East Arnhem Up to $10,000 for relocation assistance (3.5k for Darwin, 10k for Nhulunbuy) Access to NT PHN scholarships and bursaries What's the role? Provide clinical and culturally responsive podiatry services for CHSP eligible clients including assessment, treatment, planning, and evaluation in Miwatj communities. Work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure clinical and social support are provided to clients. Manage caseload and waitlist and contribute to effective clinical governance arrangements and service improvement processes. Contribute to reporting for Miwatj Health and funding bodies. Supervise and provide expert advice towards the professional development and capacity building of Miwatj staff, including Indigenous Allied Health Assistants and external stakeholders. Is this the right role for you? Tertiary qualification in Podiatry with current AHPRA registration and at least 3 years clinical experience. An understanding of the issues faced by Yol?u people living in remote settings. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in managing a broad range of acute and chronic foot conditions. Proven ability to work in a collaborative and multidisciplinary environment and engage with internal and external stakeholders. Ability to travel regularly to communities in the Miwatj region. NT PHN / RWA NT may be able to offer relocation support and clinical educational financial assistance to health professionals who are relocating to the NT or moving within the NT to a greater remoteness area classification for the purposes of employment and further clinical education.
