A position for an experienced Plant Operator (Roller) is currently available within Local Government in the Ipswich area to work within a road construction and maintenance team. This is a temporary role starting as soon as possible.
Key Responsibilities: Perform general labouring duties, including manual handling tasks.Operate plant and equipment within license requirements, manufacturer's specifications, and council standards.Maintain machinery and equipment according to manufacturer and council standards.Ensure compliance with all rules, regulations, and safe work procedures, including the correct use, maintenance, and storage of PPE.Assist with asphalt crew tasks and maintenance work.Undertake any additional duties within your skills and training as directed by the supervisor.Essential Skills and Experience: Physically fit and reliable with a strong work ethic.Roller ticket and current MR licence.White Card (Construction Induction).Previous experience working with asphalt crews and in civil maintenance.Strong understanding of compliance and safety procedures.What's on Offer: Stable work hours: Monday to Friday, 6:15am to 3:15pm.Convenient location at Riverview Depot.Training provided to ensure a safe and competent start in the role.Opportunity to contribute to maintaining community infrastructure.How to Apply: If you meet the essential criteria and are ready to take on this role, please submit your application today!
