The Office is tasked with a significant responsibility: bringing together a holistic, connected system for early childhood development across South Australia, with the goal of reducing the rate of children entering school developmentally vulnerable. Critical to this is the roll-out of universal 3-year-old preschool from 2026, giving every child access to 2 years of teacher-led, play-based early learning before school.
About the role : In this pivotal role, the People and Culture Project Lead will be responsible for devising and coordinating the Office for Early Childhood Development's workforce resourcing plan, ensuring alignment with both corporate goals and government policy. Working under broad direction within the Corporate Services' team of the Office of the Chief Executive, the People and Culture Project Lead will be required to devise, implement and coordinate recruitment plans and programs; develop and refine systems, processes and supporting material to streamline end-to-end human resource processes and practices; embed Aboriginal cultural safety, diversity and inclusion practices; manage relationships internally and externally to enable collaborative and innovative recruitment approaches; ensure compliance to legislative and regulatory requirements especially the Office for Public Sector Commissioner Determinations.
In this role, you will : Drive Recruitment Strategy: Devise and coordinate the Office for Early Childhood Development's workforce resourcing plan, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and government policy. Optimise HR Processes: Analyse and improve the end-to-end recruitment processes, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and best practices are followed. Collaborate for Success: Foster strong relationships across the business, ensuring proactive planning, risk management, and stakeholder engagement. Cultural Safety & Diversity: Apply your expertise to embed Aboriginal cultural safety, inclusive and diverse work practices. Expert Advice & Reporting: Provide strategic advice and regular progress reports to the Executive Leadership Team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. About you : You will have a strong background in human resource management, with expert knowledge of South Australian public sector policies and practices. You'll bring experience in project management, business improvement, and HR systems development, alongside the ability to work effectively across diverse teams and stakeholders.

Remuneration : ASO7 $108,109 - $116,864 (1.0 FTE) per annum, plus superannuation.

Special Conditions : The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every 5 years before expiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.
