The role :
Establish eligibility of patients and their escorts for financial assistance for travel and accommodation under the PTAS including :
Inpatients and Outpatients of Tasmanian health facilities for the transfer of treatment in other States. Inpatients and Outpatients of Tasmanian health facilities transferring or returning to hospitals in other parts of the State. Ambulatory patients who are residents of Tasmania and referred from the private sector for treatment, either intra or interstate. Receive and effectively manage all incoming telephone, email and face-to-face patient travel enquiries. Facilitate airline and accommodation reservations for patients and approved escorts. Accurately maintain the Statewide PTAS database capturing patient details, travel and accommodation costs, referring and nominated specialists, medical specialty, and treatment / procedure undertaken, which is integral to Executive FYI Reporting. One Fixed term, full time, day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible and for a period of 6 months.
Notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant. Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full-time and part-time vacancies. Location : Parkside, 1 Strahan Street Burnie, Tasmania
Salary : $66,049 to $70,993 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022. Benefits available to eligible candidates :
