Operational Officer (Afternoon / Night Wardsperson) The Operational Services at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for an Operational Officer to join their team on a permanent basis.
Your opportunity This position will be responsible for providing a 24-hour / 7-day week support service for multi-disciplinary staff and patient care including cleaning, removal of waste, transportation of patients, equipment, linen, and materials around the hospital. This position will also be required to work with and provide support and advice to the Team Leader, Supervisors, and/or Manager of Operational Services.
About the Team Operational Services provides and co-ordinates a diverse range of services that support the clinical divisions in the delivery of patient-centred health care at Mackay Base Hospital. The department consists of the following key areas:
Cleaning Services Grounds and Gardens Patient Equipment Loan Store (PELS) About our Hospital and Health Service Mackay Hospital and Health Service has 6 hospitals, 2 multi-purpose health services, and 4 community health centres that employ more than 3,700 staff. The district covers an area of approximately 90,000 km² and provides services to patients and their families in Bowen, Cannonvale, Clermont, Collinsville, Dysart, Glenden, Mackay, Middlemount, Moranbah, Proserpine, and Sarina.
