Delivering 4 Customers (D4C) is a consortium comprising of industry-leading Tier 1 organisations – John Holland, Service Stream, and WSP.
Sydney Water has partnered with D4C to deliver design, construction, maintenance, and facilities management services across their southern region - from Bondi to Gerringong, and out to Georges River.
D4C is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic, diverse, and high-performing team in an exciting time of growth.
We need your skills and expertise to help Sydney Water deliver a $34 billion program over the next 10 years to build, maintain, and protect the future of our iconic water resources.
Primary Purpose The purpose of this role is to manage the delivery of construction projects efficiently, ensuring they are completed within the set timeframes, budgets, and quality standards, while coordinating resources, overseeing subcontractors, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Accountabilities Supporting Construction Leads to ensure allocated projects are delivered to scope within time, cost, quality, and regulatory standards.Setting daily, weekly, and long-term project programs to achieve required project outputs with plant, labour, materials, and resources.Monitoring and reviewing costs, invoices, and claims for allocated projects.Contributing to the constructability of a project with respect to design development.Undertaking tender, evaluation, and award of subcontract procurement packages.Monitoring the quality and quantities of incoming equipment and materials against drawings and specifications, arranging corrections or modifications where necessary as per Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).Analysing and using document and record management systems to track progress and project performance, and report non-compliances.Demonstrating sound people management skills by successfully managing work packages and the performance of Subcontractors and the 'Self-Perform' workforce.Liaising and coordinating with all external parties and relevant statutory authorities, managing their attendance on site as required.Contributing to a good safety, quality, environment, and a community culture with a view to Deliver Differently.Minimum Requirements Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Science, Building Construction, Construction Management or equivalent.Minimum 5-10 years' engineering experience.White Card.We welcome and encourage applications from diverse backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, LGBTQIA+, people with disabilities, people with caring responsibilities, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, and veterans.
