The Opportunity Join our team as a Mechanical Design Engineer. This is a new role created due to company growth. You will be part of the small team driving our product engineering program. Our goal is to build a world-leading product stack in our specialist market supported by best-in-class engineering capability.
The Role As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be part of the small team driving our product engineering program. We manufacture premium technical products for the mining industry in a discrete manufacturing system that is 100% build-to-order. Every product we make is customised via either a 'configure-to-order' (CTO) or 'engineer-to-order' (ETO) process.
Key responsibilities will include: Design for manufacture Review & approve drawings Job quality requirements This role will report to our Design Engineering Manager (new role to be hired) and will be based at our Salisbury (Brisbane) plant, with paid relocation if required. We are aiming to hire high-potential talent who will perform exceptionally and progress to take on more responsibility in the business.
About You We are looking for a high-performing Mechanical Design Engineer who is passionate about designing and making things. You will love solving engineering problems and designing great products – using your smarts and ingenuity to solve problems. You will have a strong focus on design-for-manufacture (DfM) and like working closely with the manufacturing team.

Experience required includes: Engineering degree (mechanical or related) with strong academic results. Ideally – experience in manufacturing business with built-to-order product (ie, understands 'configure-to-order' and 'engineer-to-order' workflows). Ideally – experience with engineering for piping fabrication (ASME B31.3, AS4041, ASME IX, AS3992). Why Join Us?
