4X4 TECHNICIAN / MECHANIC Our Client, ARB Corporation t / a ARB 4x4 Accessories, was founded in 1975 by Tony Brown, inspired by a 4WDing trip through the top end of Australia. Upon his return to Melbourne, Tony began working in the family garage to address product deficiencies he encountered on his trip. ARB, the initials of Anthony Ronald Brown, was established and has since become Australia's largest manufacturer and distributor of 4×4 accessories.
Overview of Position The main responsibility of the 4x4 Technician is to modify vehicles to improve their performance and safety for offroad and towing use, predominantly through the installation and fitment of ARB products. Technicians are required to complete their work in a timely manner while adhering to safe operating procedures and OHS requirements at all times.
Organizational Scope You will report to the Workshop Supervisor, or to the Branch Manager when there is no workshop supervisor.
Key Responsibilities Fitting upgraded suspension systems, exhaust systems, differential locking kits, fuel tanks, towing equipment, storage solutions, and other parts as per work instruction from the Branch Retail Sales team. Detecting and diagnosing faults. Removing and refitting steering mechanisms and other components, checking parts, replacing worn and defective parts, reassembling mechanical components, and referring to service manuals as needed. Caring for and maintaining all workshop tools and equipment. Key Performance Indicators Quality and timely mechanical work within specified ARB deadlines. Ability to work effectively with the workshop team. Required Skills, Behaviors and Experience Motor vehicle repair certificate required in WA and NSW. Certificate III or higher as an Automotive Technician / Motor Mechanic. Current driver's license. Drive and determination to learn on the job. Passion for the 4WD industry. Attention to detail. This is a Full-time / Permanent Position.
Salary Range : $73,150 to $75,000
