Due to ongoing growth within the business, we are seeking a highly motivated Ultra Heavy Haulage (UHH) Projects Supervisor to join our team and support our Heavy Haulage Operations.
This is a new position and one that can be based in the Pilbara or FIFO ex Perth.
Position Overview :
As the Ultra Heavy Haulage Projects Supervisor, you will play a key role in supporting our operations by :
Assisting the Operations Supervisor in scheduling and coordinating regional assets for Oversize Tray Transport Operations, ensuring the delivery of exceptional customer service.
Collating data related to UHH assets, maintenance schedules, and fleet presentation.
Communicating effectively with key clients and internal stakeholders.
Managing paperwork, and arranging Labor, machinery, and equipment as required.
Supporting the management of staff and subcontractors, including recruitment, driver allocation, administration, and subcontractor management.
Assisting in overseeing service contractors on-site.
Ensuring health and safety compliance, along with adherence to Chain of Responsibility (COR) and Critical Risk Management (CRM) requirements for the depot, staff, contractors, and visitors.
The successful candidate will possess the following skills and experience :
Proven leadership in safety practices and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
Previous experience in transport scheduling, Labor allocation, and transport depot operations.
Solid understanding of Heavy Vehicle Operations (HVO), including fatigue management, maintenance, mass, dimension, and load restraint.
Knowledge of government regulatory requirements, particularly those relating to Chain of Responsibility (COR).
Demonstrated ability to manage conflicting priorities and adapt to changing workplace demands.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel) and Google Suite, with an openness to adopting innovative solutions.
Experience using tablet-based Transport Management Systems for driver task allocation and event data capture.
Strong ability to work independently and within a team, balancing multiple tasks simultaneously.
Exceptional attention to detail with a high standard of documentation and procedure management.
Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a focus on building strong relationships.
