Employee Relations; Human Resources; Corporate; Brisbane In the role of Manager (Industrial Relations), you will support the leadership and delivery of the employee relations and industrial relations functions in the Department of Transport and Main Roads.
As a senior member of the Employee Relations Team in the Corporate Operations Branch, you will focus on the department's strategy to deliver and continuously improve client relationships, employee relations, and industrial relations strategies to enhance and enable an agile and diverse workforce capable of delivering TMR's business.
You will provide strategic advice, lead teams in the development of a range of human resource initiatives, and ensure the delivery of a range of tailored products and services.

Key Responsibilities Provide high level expert advice in all matters relating to Employee Relations, Industrial Relations, and Public Sector Policy to the Director Employee Relations and other senior stakeholders.Lead the team to represent the organisational interests in all matters relating to industrial relations, including at QIRC conferences.Provide leadership to drive team functions and project outcomes ensuring ongoing contribution to the department's strategic business objectives.Develop well-informed, responsive, and innovative strategic solutions to all matters relating to Employee Relations, Industrial Relations, and Public Sector Policy.Proactively manage and supervise your staff in all aspects of people performance, including recruitment, selection, coaching, development, and workplace health and safety.Manage the Industrial Relations team and ensure the performance of team personnel meets the key performance indicators and targets.Desirable Requirements Relevant tertiary qualifications in industrial relations, law, human resources, or a related field are well regarded.Membership and / or certification with the Australian Human Resources Institute / Queensland Industrial Relations Society would be well regarded.Applications to remain current for 12 months.
