The Role This newly created role is a permanent opportunity working full-time or part-time hours. We are open to exploring the potential of a 3 or 4-day working week for the right experienced candidate.
The position will see you providing support to the Insurance Litigation team, supporting 1 Partner alongside 2 Paralegals with duties including:
Document production: a function of the role will involve formatting legal documents and letters with the use of templates and drafting basic letters.Client relations: meeting and greeting clients, liaising with lawyers, stakeholders, and third parties via telephone and email.Calendar management: diary & travel management, tracking events, and deadlines.Task management: updating task lists and tracking deadlines.Preparing court documents: collating documents and ensuring briefs are prepared efficiently.Billing: end of month billing.File management: saving documents from eCourts Portal and WorkCover.Typing: dictation and transcription.General administration tasks: scanning, printing, filing, mail management, office inventory along with front of house duties.The Candidate Minimum 1 year's experience working as a legal secretary in a similar role.Experience working as a Legal Assistant / Legal Secretary / Paralegal in a plaintiff or defendant insurance law firm would be highly regarded.What's in it for you?
