The Opportunity We are looking for a passionate litigator with 1 - 5 years PAE to join our Sydney based Health team. The successful candidate will enjoy working across a diverse range of legally challenging and factually complex matters in the Government sector, including:
Coronial inquiries Defending claims for negligence against doctors, nurses, hospitals, and medical centres Gathering medical evidence, investigating liability, and assessing quantum of the claim This role presents a fantastic opportunity to progress your career within a team that is renowned for its collaborative culture, passion for client service, and professional development opportunities.
Skills and Experience To be successful in this role you will have: A Bachelor of Laws or equivalent and a current New South Wales practising certificate Minimum 1 years' post-admission experience in defendant medical negligence litigation and coronial inquests Experience running litigated matters across a variety of jurisdictions Client-facing experience with the ability to understand and manage client needs A commercial approach and ability to articulate and negotiate effectively Excellent technical skills and the ability to manage a busy workload What We Offer In return, McCabes will provide you with the opportunity to work with a talented team in a flexible, inclusive, and innovative environment.
