Role Overview
We are looking for a qualified and experienced Landscape Gardener to join our growing team.
The successful candidate will contribute to designing, constructing, and maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces while ensuring compliance with Australian standards and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Developing designs and detailed plans for gardens, selecting appropriate plants and materials, and organising the timeline for project completion.
Installing and setting up both structural and natural elements in the garden, such as pathways, planting areas, and decorative features.
Constructing outdoor features including paved and gravel areas, walls, fences, pergolas, trellises, ponds, barbecues, and garden furniture.
Preparing soil and planting areas by conditioning and creating optimal growing environments for vegetation.
Planting various types of greenery, such as trees, shrubs, hedges, flowers, and bulbs, to enhance garden aesthetics and functionality.
Establishing lawns by spreading topsoil, seeding, or laying down instant turf to ensure healthy grass growth.
Assessing the hydraulic requirements for irrigation systems to ensure proper water flow and distribution across the garden.
Installing and configuring irrigation systems, including pumps, pipes, and water meters, to meet the specific needs of the landscaping project.
Conducting tests, performing regular maintenance, and repairing irrigation systems to ensure their continued functionality and efficiency.
Qualifications and Experience
Certificate III in Horticulture, Landscape construction, or equivalent qualification.
At least 2 years of relevant work experience.
Strong knowledge of horticultural practices, plant species, and landscaping materials.
Ability to interpret and work from landscape designs and technical plans.
Proficiency with landscaping tools and equipment.
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet project deadlines.
