Responsibilities Our client, an international bank that focuses on project & asset finance lending business in Australia, is growing the team and seeking a Japanese Speaking Operation Assistant. This is a full-time permanent role based in Sydney CBD with hybrid working environment.
This is suitable for a person with corporate or institutional banking experience in a middle or back-office environment. If you have an accounting or finance background and would like to gain experience in corporate banking, this would be a great pathway.
The key responsibilities and duties:
Loan Administration & Execution Conduct general loan administration and execution under the direction of the Senior Manager. Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and efficient loan management. Remittance Prepare and execute remittance transaction under the direction of the Senior Manager. Cash flow management Assist in managing and monitoring cash flow trends for each currency handled by the company, working closely with the middle office team. Prepare a report on cash flow management for Senior Management and the middle office team. Draft plans for managing surplus funds. Liaise with the banks where the company holds deposits and handle cash management. Middle Operations Handle monthly and quarterly reporting to the regulatory authorities, the parent company and other parties concerned under the direction of the Senior Manager. Support the Senior Manager during internal / external audits and regulatory inspections. AML / Compliance Organize AML / CTF and other compliance-related documents under the supervision of the compliance officer. General Administration Make original drafts of the procedures and manuals. Support the Senior Manager to improve productivity of the Operations department. Other duties as requested.
Your Profile Back-office experience in corporate banking or finance or accounting. Strong with numbers and analysing data. Fluent in Japanese and English language skills. Strong organisational and analytical skills with ability to manage multiple tasks at same time. Motivated individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Team player. Ability to work with various stakeholders. You must have unlimited work rights.
