The Opportunity
At Infinite Aged Care, our Health, Safety & Wellbeing Advisor (HSW) is a key member of the People & Culture team, driving the integration of health, safety and wellbeing initiatives. Reporting to the WHS Manager who is Gold Coast based, you will play a vital role in providing expert advice and guidance on all aspects of WHS, actively promoting a strong and positive safety culture. This is a national role that involves travel to various sites.
Our Role
Participate in national initiatives to reduce risk relating to key injury trends and align to organisational strategic goals. Champion a proactive safety culture, identifying trends in health and safety and lead improvements in safety standards. Training and Education: Review best practice for current training relating to safety and translate into actionable initiatives to improve outcomes and reduce incidents and risk. Develop and deliver training as required. Incident Management: Collaboration with operational leaders in incident reporting and investigation. Assist to review incidents and hazards, staff follow up, investigations and regulatory notifications. Wellbeing Initiatives: Assist to develop and implement initiatives to promote health and wellbeing that align with organisational values and strategic goals. Assist with the implementation of psychosocial initiatives. Reporting and Records Management: Assist in the development of trend analysis, statistical data, and analytical reports within specified timeframes. Administrative Duties: Operate within inhouse safety systems and regularly monitor the WHS inbox. About You
A degree or related tertiary qualifications in WHS and ideally 3+ years in a WHS advisory role. Proven extensive knowledge of the relevant WHS legislation and regulations. Proven skill in report writing and WHS policy development. Strong communication skills including the ability to lead, coach, influence, and drive outcomes. It is important you can perform these tasks without risk of injury to yourself, your colleagues and our residents. Capacity to multitask and manage various projects effectively. Availability to travel nationally as required. National Police Check (or ability to obtain and provide one). Valid driver's licence. Previous experience in the Health care sector is advantageous.
