We are now seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Intelligence Developer to join our team on a 12-month fixed term contract.
About the role Working alongside a dynamic, close-knit Business Intelligence team, the Business Intelligence Developer will play an important role in supporting key business processes and informed decision making. You will be responsible for consulting and developing business intelligence, reporting and data visualisation solutions that are accurate, timely, consistent and reliable.
Key responsibilities: Dynamically working within a small team to meet the Business Intelligence demands of a multi-faceted business Designing, developing and delivering analytical assets following a best-practice data analytics development lifecycle Effectively using a range of Business intelligence tools including the Microsoft Power BI stack and other BI tools Designing, delivering, and maintaining data ingestion, transformation, modelling (ELT), and reporting processes using Power BI Service Providing end-to-end support of the Health Partners Enterprise Reporting Framework along with other customer-focused reporting toolsets Consulting with and supporting key business stakeholders in the delivery and use of developed BI content Developing and maintaining high-standard technical BI documentation as development occurs across the enterprise Using existing Excel based Power Query Data Models for solution provision Following development priorities as determined by business requirements About you The Business Intelligence Developer will have experience and demonstrated practice in a range of BI tools and processes including the following:
Minimum 3 years strong SQL development experience Data Modelling design and development experience working with Kimball Star Schema data modelling methodology Minimum 12 months demonstrated experience with Power BI Desktop dashboard development and dataset design and development (Dataflows, Datasets, Reports and Dashboards) Minimum 12 months experience with Power Query and both Power BI and Excel to deliver power pivot reporting solutions Experience working with Crystal Reports and Crystal Reports Server Experience with Power BI Service administration and dataflows Demonstrated experience developing in Excel and VBA to produce reporting solutions Experience in Dashboard Design best practices Excellent knowledge of business processes, finance, health insurance (desired) and retail an advantage With similar experience reflective of these requirements, you will be equipped with the skillset and knowledge to thrive in this role!
