Position Summary The Guest Service Agent is responsible for extending a warm arrival welcome and fond farewell to all guests. The individual will ensure payment information and billing setup is established correctly. The individual assists in providing room orientations and assists guests during their stay.
Greet and welcome all guests to the hotel in a warm, professional and friendly manner. Open doors, assist guests / visitors entering, and leaving property. Ensure guests are greeted in the lobby with a warm professional friendly manner and anticipate their needs by offering assistance before being asked. Provide efficient luggage storage, retrieval of parcels and other objects for guests and ensure accurate inventory of items on loan, and all items are collected in time or before check-out. Perform currency exchange for in-house guests in line with established procedure. Receive cash payments and process paid-outs in line with established procedure. Be knowledgeable of the hotel's offerings, special events or promotions to provide the most up-to-date and accurate information to guests. Be the champion of the local city's culture and heritage by providing recommendations and directions to dining, tourist attractions and any local destinations. Talent Profile Tertiary Education preferred. A personable character with a passion for building strong guest relations. Experience in a similar role at luxury hotels/resorts or commercial facilities. Experience with PMS/Hotel Systems (Opera Cloud, KnowCross). Good command of written and spoken English. Valid working rights in Australia.
