Details of the offer

You will have a unique skillset and be a senior member of the Greenmount Capital (GMC) Investment team.
Alongside GreenMount Advisory (GMA) clients and other Private Capital investors, you will be focused on leading, originating, evaluating, and executing growth equity opportunities in later stage venture and private equity.
In your role, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of growth equity investments across the deal life cycle, combining your skill set of commercial and financial acumen, strategic thinking, and an entrepreneurial mindset.
You will be a team player working within GMC and alongside GMA deal origination teams, upholding GreenMount's core set of values.
This role is located in either Sydney or Auckland.

Key Responsibilities
Origination and Initial Evaluation
Identify and source investment opportunities through various channels
Lead a team on evaluating potential investments, including market and commercial analysis, financial modelling, and risk assessment
Assess management teams, business models, the market, and the competitive landscape
Investment Execution
Lead a team on due diligence, negotiation, and structuring of investment opportunities
Collaborate effectively with team members (prioritizing tasks and separating responsibilities) and external stakeholders
Work closely with legal and financial teams to ensure smooth transaction execution and compliance with regulatory requirements
Lead the preparation of investment papers, presentations, and marketing documents for internal stakeholders and investment committees
Personal Management
Manage time effectively to meet individual and team objectives, as well as required deadlines
Where appropriate, delegate tasks to other staff or areas for better utilization of time and resources
Exercise punctuality in general, including meetings and training sessions
Manage self-balance between work and life commitments

Personal Specification
Qualifications and Experience
7 – 10 years of experience, starting in M&A / Corporate Finance, and more recently in a senior role within a growth private equity manager, supported by experience in financial / investment markets
Finance, business administration, and/or accounting/law degree & experience
Strong financial analysis skills, including financial modelling, valuation techniques, and investment analysis
Strong understanding of private equity investment and exit dynamics, including market/sector trends, macro-economic cycles, and deal structures
