Management - Vocational (Education & Training) Our client, the Engenco Group, provides a diverse range of innovative products and solutions for transportation, employing over 500 people in over twenty locations across two countries.

Within their Workforce Solutions business, they have four training and labour hire businesses: Momentum Workforce Solutions, CERT, Eureka, and Connect Talent.
The Role Reporting to the Executive General Manager of the Workforce Solutions business based in Sydney, this is a key executive role. The General Manager of Quality and Compliance will lead the development and execution of the Workforce Solutions Quality Strategy.
This includes the design, implementation, and management of Quality Management Systems and Frameworks that ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and obligations.
The executive team is seeking a leader who fosters strong collaboration across Workforce Solutions Sales, Operations, and Delivery teams while driving meaningful engagement with industry stakeholders to uphold the highest standards in vocational education and training (VET) and other relevant benchmarks.
Key Responsibilities: Design, manage, and continuously improve the Workforce Solutions quality strategy to align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements. Oversee the professional development of the Workforce Solutions team, ensuring competencies are met and maintained. Ensure alignment and management of state and federal contracts, maintaining compliance with VET registration standards within the QMS. Provide strategic leadership on VET-related compliance, including regulatory matters and operational adherence. Oversee the validation, moderation, and ongoing relevance of training materials to meet industry needs. Lead, mentor, and manage a small, high-performing team, fostering engagement, capability growth, and support. Establish and maintain industry connections to ensure learning programs and products reflect current standards and emerging trends. Collaborate with operational teams to implement quality and compliance standards, ensuring alignment with deliverables and operational requirements. Develop and maintain performance dashboards that provide actionable insights into quality metrics and continuous improvement initiatives. Manage key stakeholder relationships, including service agreements, to ensure the competency, performance, and overall output of Workforce Solutions roles. Implement and manage a continuous improvement plan for Workforce Solutions, driving ongoing enhancement of RTO (Registered Training Organization) performance. About You You will be an experienced leader within the RTO / Training environment with a minimum of five years of recent experience in the VET sector, focusing on transport, construction, or heavy industries.
You will also possess: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Proven ability to effectively negotiate and communicate, both verbally and in writing, with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory authorities. In-depth knowledge of industry training packages. Comprehensive understanding of industry training packages and the standards set by accrediting and regulatory bodies. Proven experience in managing accredited training programs. Demonstrated expertise in overseeing nationally accredited training programs and leading personnel within the VET sector. Experience in managing and conducting regulator audits. Experience in leading and conducting audit and/or business review activities, both internal and external. An in-depth understanding of VET Regulatory standards and associated funding contracts. Experience in the interpretation and application of all VET Standards along with a sound understanding of state-based funding contracts.
