Future Generation Joint Venture (FGJV) is the principal contractor for Snowy Hydro's Snowy 2.0, Australia's largest committed renewable energy project. We bring the combined engineering expertise of three companies - Italy's Webuild (formerly Salini Impregilo), Australian-based Clough and US-based Lane Construction.
Purpose of the Role:
The TBM Mechanical Superintendent will be responsible for the organisation and management of the equipment needed to support the Snowy 2.0 project, particularly the commission and decommissioning. The TBM Mechanical Superintendent will also oversee the utility/services installation on the Snowy 2.0 project. This role will focus primarily on daily management, supervision, and coordination of the Snowy 2.0 heavy construction and tunnel-specific equipment.

Trade or Qualification in Mechanical Engineering / Civil Engineering

Experience:
Experience working on large scale construction projects or other suitable projects.
A minimum of 10-15 years of specific experience working as Equipment and Plant Manager in tunnel projects.
Experience in the operation and maintenance on at least 1 project using pressurized face Tunnel Boring Machine.
Experience in basic use of Microsoft Office Suite, data and file recording.
Experience in Managing Relationships and People Management.
Experience in Safety, Community, and Environmental Management.
Experience in Quality Management and Planning & Resourcing.
Strong Fixed Plant knowledge.
Experience managing major tunnelling support plants such as Slurry Plants / Waste treatment.
Sound knowledge of civil construction materials/services.
Sound knowledge of local WHS standards and regulations.
Ability to supervise team members and work closely with safety and other departments to control and maintain project safety standards.
Demonstrate a positive "can-do" attitude.
Ability to lead and manage teams.
Demonstrate initiative and creative problem-solving skills.
Practical knowledge and understanding of computers and Microsoft software packages.
