Executive Producer - Dark Mofo Full time, permanent Hobart, office-based We're seeking an experienced Executive Producer to join the Dark Mofo leadership team.
Reporting to the Executive Director, you'll oversee the planning and delivery of the Late Night and Music programs, ensuring alignment with the Artistic Director's and creative team's vision.
This is a key leadership role requiring strategic planning, exceptional execution, and a collaborative approach to festival management.
You'll also support the Artist Services team and contribute to the festival's overall strategy in a fast-paced and innovative environment.
The gig: Drive strategic direction and decision-making for Dark Mofo in collaboration with the Executive Director.
Develop and manage festival budgets and timelines.
Build and maintain stakeholder relationships, assist with funding submissions, and support reporting processes.
Lead the execution of the Late Night and Music programs, ensuring alignment with artistic vision.
Oversee program budgets and timelines, meeting financial and operational targets.
Partner with production and operations teams to uphold safety and compliance standards.
Manage Artist Services, including accommodation negotiations and contract oversight.
Lead resource planning, recruitment, and contracting for the festival.
Evaluate and improve processes post-festival, incorporating feedback and innovation.
Complete administrative duties to support program success.
The you: Strong interpersonal skills and extensive event or festival experience.
Proven ability to manage complex timelines and multiple priorities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Calm, organized, and assertive under pressure.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a good understanding of event operations and technical systems.
Flexible, with a strong work ethic and willingness to work outside standard hours.
Collaborative problem-solver with a focus on information sharing and teamwork.
